Bridge Voicevs The VoIP Shop
The VoIP Shop is a UK telecoms provider that sells an AI receptionist alongside its phone systems. Its entry plan sits at the same £30 a month as Bridge Voice Starter, which makes the allowance and the overage rate the things worth comparing. One thing to flag before you read on: their AI receptionist page currently shows two pricing tables that contradict each other.

Where The VoIP Shop beats us
If we only listed our own strengths this page would not be worth your time. Here is where The VoIP Shop would genuinely serve you better.
Their £10 Standard tier is a cheaper way to put an AI on the line at all, if your call volume is genuinely tiny. At 85p a minute it stops being cheap quickly, but the entry cost is lower than ours.
They are an established telecoms provider, so if you are buying a phone system and an AI receptionist together from one supplier, there is a real convenience argument for keeping both in one place.

Bridge Voice vs The VoIP Shop FAQs
Prefer to see the whole market at once? Our UK AI receptionist comparison puts every provider we verified in one table.
How does The VoIP Shop AI receptionist compare with Bridge Voice on price?
Both have a £30 a month plan. The VoIP Shop includes 150 minutes at that price and Bridge Voice includes 250, which works out at 20p a minute against 12p/min. The bigger difference is what happens afterwards: their published overage is 65p a minute on that tier, against 35p on Bridge Voice or 12p/min if you buy a minute pack in advance.
Why do you say their pricing is contradictory?
As of 4 August 2026, their AI receptionist page carried two pricing tables. One prices the £30 tier at 150 minutes with 65p per additional minute; the other prices the same £30 tier at 50 calls with 85p per additional call. The £10 tier is described as both "£0.85 per minute" and "£0.85 per call", and the business number is listed as both "£10 for New Business Number" and "FREE Business Number". We have used the first table throughout and flagged it rather than quietly picking the more flattering set of numbers. They may well have corrected this since.
Which is better for a business that gets a lot of calls?
Volume is where the two diverge most. The VoIP Shop's highest published tier is 600 minutes at £120. Bridge Voice goes to 1,000 minutes at £99 and 3,000 at £399, with prepaid Flex and minute packs beyond that. If you are answering more than about ten hours of calls a month, their published range runs out.
